Sotheary graduated from the University of Queensland in Australia with a PhD Degree in Integrative Systems in 2009 and has got a bachelor degree in Business Administration from the National University of Management in Phnom Penh in 2000. . She holds expertise in both fields of partnership and advocacy through more than 10 years of experiences serving civil society sector in the country. She supports the Country Office in strengthening equal footing capacity of partners as this is critical to realize the localization priorities of Save the Children. Sotheary has significant knowledge and experiences related to the effectiveness and sustainability for CSOs in Cambodia, CSO contribution to the development of Cambodia, CSO contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other aspects of development, governance, and accountability particularly within the CSO sector.
